VIPART | Lago di Tovel
Lago di Tovel is a beautiful natural mountain lake in the Dolomites. The lake is located in the Val di Non, in the Parco Naturale Adamello-Brenta, in the north of Italy. Lake Tovel is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Dolomites, located at an altitude of 1,178 meters and is also the largest natural mountain lake in Trentino. The water is clear and rich in fauna and has an irregular shape. The surface area is 360,000 square meters with a maximum depth of 39 meters. The lake was once famous for the bright red color its water took on in the summer months, probably due to a special type of algae. Although this unique natural phenomenon disappeared in the 1960s, Lago di Tovel remains a wonderful place to visit and admire as a beautiful VIPART creation.
