Val-d'Illiez is a town and municipality in Switzerland, located in the canton of Valais (French: Valais), in the valley of the same name: Val d'Illiez, at the foot of the Dents du Midi. In addition to the town of Val d'Illiez itself, the municipality also includes the two ski villages of Les Crosets and Champoussin. Both of these villages belong to the Portes du Soleil ski area as part of the Région Dents du Midi. In summer the area is ideal for hiking and mountain biking in the mountains. There is also a thermal bath.
Val d'Illiez has a train station on the Aigle - Champéry railway line.
La salée du Val d'Illiez is a traditional pastry made in this place and described on the Swiss Culinary Heritage website. It is a cake with flour, butter, sugar, cinnamon and sometimes apple or rhubarb.
