SPECTACLED CAIMAN.
The female spectacled caiman covers her eggs with a pile of leaves. She guards her nest well against predators. The temperature of the nest determines whether more males or more females hatch from the egg. At an average temperature of 30 degrees, the young are mainly females. If it is 34 degrees in the nest, they are mainly males.
